The Dream Centered Life

Pastor Jamel and Melissa have served as Pastors of New Life Center for several years. They have two young boys and a girl. Pastor Jamel grew up in Brooklyn, New York & Melissa was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. Jamel is also the founder of the Des Moines Dream Center. A ministry that is connecting people to God and to a community of support. The Dream Center provides services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of homelessness, youth development, and poverty. Kingdom Builders is excited to partner with the Des Moines Dream Center and we look forward to hearing their story this weekend.

We often are happier when we are in relationships. Whether it’s with friends, co-workers, college buddies, parents, siblings, that special someone–we all have relationships that bring us joy and fulfillment. And yet, relationships inevitably can cause pain. LOVE can be HARD. Things don’t always go the way we plan and, oftentimes, if we are honest, we can look back and identify places where we have actually sabotaged our relationships. In this series we want to explore some of the behaviors that can undermine love and discover a new way to have richer and more satisfying relationships.
